'On Your Special Day' card...

This time I'll show you step by step how to make this fantastic 'On Your Special Day' card with leaves.

You'll need about 15 mins preparation time and about 25 mins to make the card. You'll also need the following:

- 8.5x13cm white textured card
- 8.7x13.2 black card
- A6 white blank card
- 3 different sizes of leaf stamps
- acrylic block
- Distress Inks in three green shades (Crushed Olives, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint)
- 'On Your Special Day' stamp
- double sided tape
- 3D foam pads
- spray bottle with water (I've 'recycled' Avon's linen spray bottle)
- heat gun or hair dryer

First, stamp the biggest leaf with the lightest colour which in this case is Crushed Olives. Always remember to start with the lightest colour as this enables you to build up layers of colours.

Next stamp the bigger leaf stamp with Peeled Paint ink.

And as the last one use the smallest stamp and the darkest colour, in this case Forest Moss.

That's the result when you finish stamping. You can add as little or as many different colours and designs. It's your card and your imagination is the limit.

Now the fun bit! :) Spray the stamped card with water and let the inks bleed. Distress inks are designed to work with water.

Wait a bit and dry the image either using heat gun or hair dryer. Be careful not to burn yourself or your work surface.

When dry, stamp 'On Your Special Day' stamp with Forest Moss ink. If you like you can use any green ink pad or even a black one. It's up to you.

That's a close up of stamped sentiment.

Here's a close up of leaves image. The white card has been mounted onto black card using double sided tape.

To finish off mount the topper onto white blank card using 3D foam pads.
