WOYWW! :)

Hi everyone!

My candy is still on until tomorrow so pop over and join here!

First I'll tell you something great that happened to me the other day. :)
I finished reading Craft Stamper magazine where in one of the articles I read 'go to any picture framing shop and ask for some mount board cut offs, you can buy them for pennies in use them in your projects...' So I went and I asked and the gentleman from MFFrames in Ipswich gave me that... Some of the sheets are A3 size! When I asked 'How much?' he just smiled and said 'It's free'. Can you believe his generosity???

So I went back the next day and gave him this set. You should have seen his smile!

I just thought as he made my day when he gave me all the free mount board I'll try to make his. :) It's a photo album and a matching desk calendar.

The next day the C plate from my Cuttlebug broke, but I found reasonably cheap replacement from Craftsuperstore so bought a new one. :)

Mess on my desk as I'm getting ready to try and upcycle beer can and milk carton. Both of them are silver inside so I want to find out if I can use them.

And another bargain form Poundland! It's 5 x 1m!!!

What a lovely thing to do. I think it is important to make generous people feel appreciated. What a shame about the plate. They seem so flimsy it is a wonder they last as long as they do.

You've just given me a lovely warm feeling at the thought of the man in the picture framing shop seeing your gifts. I bet you made his day, and what a lovely way to show your appreciation.

Looking forward to seeing the cans/cartons.

a cracked C plate is one of my worst crafty nightmares. I've never seen them sold separately in the stores. Glad you found a place to get one and I will be bookmarking this shop for sure. Thanks

Your man in the framing shop is a rare find indeed! I've seen a couple of demos recently making use of mountboard so I may just drop into our local shop and see if there are any offcuts to be had - not for free I daresay but hopefully cheap. Sahme about your C plate - not good at all. But, the ribbon is lovely. It will be interesting to see what you accomplish with the beer can : ) Thanks for finding sharing. Regards, Elizabeth #78
